Overview Job Summary
Assist the Facility Security Officer with day to day management of the National Industrial Security Programs (NISP), in all aspects of Management, Administration and Operations, with concentrations in the areas of Personnel Security, Classified Material Services and Self Inspection Program. Provide direct support and guidance to two Laboratory Directors and their assigned personnel in NISP requirements. Act as the Facility Security Officer in his/her absence. May be responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. Interact with two Lab Directors and Associate Lab Directors, division managers and professional and support staff; in addition, professional counterparts with government and industry. Microsoft (MS) operating systems, MS office suites, Security Information Management System (SIMS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), NBIS electronic application (eApp), Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) and National Industrial Security System (NISS) database.
