The Opportunity:

Facilities and Business Operations is in search of a dynamic and experienced leader to provide strategic guidance and operational oversight across key departments within the organization. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Administrative Operations, the Administrative Operations Manager III will play a crucial role in driving organizational effectiveness, fostering collaboration, and ensuring successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Execution


  • Assist the Vice President in strategic planning and research of industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with FBO senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

  • Establish accountabilities with senior management to prioritize and ensure timely delivery of work products.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and integration of efforts across departments.

  • Lead formal divisional strategic planning and tracking, connecting divisional strategy to university strategic planning goals.


Operational Metrics and Monitoring


  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

  • Work with the finance team to develop and manage key performance metrics and reporting for each department.

  • Analyze expense trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation across departments.


Manage Key Initiatives


  • Advise the Vice President on allocation efforts toward key objectives and manage tracking of milestones and deliverables.

  • Implement robust project tracking mechanisms to monitor progress of key initiatives.

  • Regularly review project status reports, identify potential risks, and proactively address them to minimize disruptions.

  • Research and address issues of concern to the Vice President, assisting in coordinating responses and presentations.


Stakeholder Engagement


  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, representing the Vice President's interests.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including university departments, vendors, and community partners.

  • Represent the Vice President at meetings, committees, and events as assigned and appropriate.


Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience with at least 2+ year(s) of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant experience.

  • Prior experience in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning and organizational development.

  • Process improvement experience.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration across departments.

  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
