We collect aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit.  This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users and helps us to continually improve your overall experience in using our site.

We sometimes share aggregate information in a non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third parties for other marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to identify you personally. Certain information, such as your name, email address, password, credit card number, and bank account number are not disclosed to marketing advertisers ever.

All personal information is used solely to provide you with the services you've requested.

When you subscribe to our e-mail mailing lists, it is necessary for us to collect your e-mail address. This email is never shared with any third parties or used for any other purposes.

When you become a paying site member, we request your name, e-mail address, mailing address, credit card number and expiration date. This information is necessary to process your payment and to notify you of your membership status. Your email and mailing addresses are shared with Latin Trade and Punto-Com magazines only if you requested the complimentary subscriptions.

We use personally identifiable information about you to improve our marketing and promotional efforts, to analyze site usage, improve our content and product offerings, and customize our site's content, layout and services. These uses improve our site and better tailor it to meet your needs.

We use your email to contact you and deliver information to you that is targeted to your interests, such as:

• administrative emails pertaining to your account, for example, expiration notices)
• email tips and advice on how to improve your career development and job search
• email notices about job openings
• email notices about career related events, such as career fairs and seminars
• targeted banner advertisement

By accepting the User Agreement and Privacy Policy, you expressly agree to receive this information.

It is possible that LatPro could merge with or be acquired by another business entity. Should such a combination occur, you should expect that LatPro would share some or all of your information in order to continue to provide the service. You will receive notice of such event (to the extent it occurs) and we will require that the new combined entity follow the practices disclosed in this Privacy Policy.

In the event LatPro.com goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred.  You will be notified via a prominent notice on our Web site home page for 30 days of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information. Should you decide to remove your personally identifiable information from the list of assets being transferred, you must notify us within this 30 day period.

We provide you the opportunity to opt-out' of having your personally identifiable information used for certain purposes, when we ask for this information.

When registering as a candidate, we provide an opportunity to 'opt-out' from our job seeker newsletters.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter and promotional communications, you may opt-out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each newsletter or communication or by emailing us at .

You will be notified when your personal information is collected by any third party that is not our agent/service provider, so you can make an informed choice as to whether or not to share your information with that party.

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. LatPro does not store this information and it is used for the sole purpose of sending a one-time email.

The security of your personal information and email address is important to us. We follow industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

When you enter sensitive information on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). Additionally, we employ security techniques to protect your data from unauthorized access both inside and outside the company. Inside our company, your Personally Identifiable Information is available in a need-to-know basis. Our administrative interface restricts access of certain types of information to specific internal roles. Our servers are hosted in highly secure state-of-the-art facilities where access to servers is restricted to senior LatPro engineers only.

There are a number of services offered by external providers that help you use our Site (e.g. resume editing services, trade magazines subscriptions, etc). If you choose to use these optional services, disclose information to the external service providers, and /or grant them permission to collect information about you, then their use of your information is governed by their privacy policy. Because we do not control the privacy practices of these third parties, you should evaluate their practice before deciding to use their services.

We use Bank of America and Authorize.net to provide credit card processing on our site.  When you sign up for a paid membership or purchase a recruiting service, we will share Personably Identifiable Information as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

1. You can store your resume in our database, but not allow it to be searchable by employers/recruiters. This will allow you to respond to a job posting without ever making your resume accessible to employers/recruiters searching our resume database.
2. If you allow your resume to be searchable, then all employers and recruiters who have registered on our site and been approved by LatPro.com will have access to your resume.

You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time. However, registered employers and recruiters may have retained a copy of your resume in their own files or databases. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while resumes are in the database.

LatPro.com allows you to change or correct your personal information and email address at any time. To do so, simply log on to our site and go to My LatPro where you will find options for editing the information you have previously submitted.

To enhance your experience at LatPro.com we use a feature on your Internet browser called a "cookie". Cookies are small files that your Web browser places on your computer's hard drive. We use cookies for remembering user names, passwords and preferences, tracking click streams, and for load balancing. While we use cookies to store your user name and password, we encrypt the data contained within the cookie(s) to protect your personally identifiable information. This feature is completely optional, and will not affect the user experience in our site. Because of our use of cookies, we can deliver faster service, consistent, updated results, and a more personalized site experience. You have the option of setting your browser to reject cookies. However, doing this will prevent you from using our site effectively. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site.

3rd Party Cookies: Some of our business partners (e.g., advertisers) use cookies on our site. We have no access to or control over these cookies. This privacy statement covers the use of cookies by LatPro.com only and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers. The systems that may post cookies are Google, Adjugler and Bluestreak.

Our "Co-Brand Program consists of LatPro-powered Employment Sections run by 3rd party websites, such as Hispanic professional associations, chambers of commerce and portals.

The relationship between LatPro and it's co-brand partners are a barter of traffic and content and revenue share.

Although these Employment Sections have the look-and-feel of the partner, they are actually hosted by LatPro servers. Personally Identifiable Information entered on those Employment websites are stored on LatPro servers and are, in no circumstance, shared with the co-brand partner.

LatPro cooperates with law enforcement inquiries, as well as other third parties to enforce laws, such as: intellectual property rights, fraud and other rights. We can (and you authorize us to) disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringements, or other activity that is illegal or may expose us or you to legal liability. Further, we can (and you authorize us to) disclose your User ID, name, street address, city, state, zip code, country, phone number, email, and company name as we in our sole discretion believe necessary.

If we decide to change our privacy policy or email practices, we will post those changes to this privacy statement, the home page, and other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
