Public Relations Specialist

Duties: Act as company spokesperson with the South Florida Hispanic community; Act as company spokesperson with the Spanish Networks such as Univision and Telemundo; draft press releases and contact both Spanish television networks and major Hispanic newspapers and magazines who might print or broadcast the material. Handle all company public functions and events. Deliver speeches at events and arrange all community activities for LatPro. Arrange and conduct programs, such as job fairs and conventions, to maintain contact between LatPro and the Hispanic community. Consult with LatPro executives to determine objectives and requirements for events such as meetings, conferences, and conventions. Select and negotiate future job fair cities, locations and venues. Monitor event activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, satisfaction of participants, and resolution of any problems that arise. Confer with staff at a chosen event site to coordinate details. Select setup and enforce an adequate marketing campaign for the events. Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation, facilities, displays, special needs requirements, printing and event security. Select and negotiate caterers, coordinate with the local event planner and visit venue for inspection and walk through. Analyze data compiled from past events for demographics. Attend LatPro / NSHP career fairs and coordinate logistics on site. Act as liaison between LatPro and NSHP to setup job fairs. Maintain records of event aspects, including financial details. Conduct post-event evaluations to determine how future events could be improved.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Public Relations, Business Administration or Marketing +
  • One (1) year of experience in job offered or as Marketing Manager
  • Skills must include: Organization of network events, Development of community marketing events &Production of advertising campaigns
