Comcast Hijackers Say They Warned the Company First
After hacking into Comcast's domain management console at Network Solutions, teen hackers say they phoned Comcast's technical contact to tell him what they'd done. When the Comcast manager "scoffed at their claim" they redirected the site's traffic to servers under their control.


Stonehenge was a Place of Burial
Dating of cremated remains shows burials at the ancient site took place as early as 3000 B.C. and continued for at least 500 years, according to researchers. They estimate that up to 240 people were buried within Stonehenge.


Custom Breast Cancer Treatments Help Sufferers
Many new treatments target specific molecules on tumor cells, allowing doctors to tailor medication to an individual patient’s tumor profile. Breast cancer was the first solid-tumor type for which molecular-targeted therapy became available, and the success of the approach promises further dramatic advances.

On May 22, researchers at Osaka University presented a demonstration of cold fusion, a technology which could potentially provide a nearly unlimited source of power with almost zero waste.

Motivating Undergraduates in Science and Technology Scholarship
Students of all underrepresented groups (Women, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans and persons with disabilities) pursuing an undergraduate degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) are eligible to apply for HSF and NASA’s scholarship.
