The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projects a continuing positive economic outlook for Latin America and the Caribbean. The region is projected to have a 4 percent economic growth rate in 2005 and a 3.75 growth rate in 2006, well above historical averages.

From 2002 to 2004 the Hispanic adult population in the 87 metropolitan markets increased by 16 percent while the number of Hispanic college graduates increased by 22 percent.

After allegations that a supervisor sent out an e-mail to employees saying only English should be spoken in the workplace, officials at Cleveland Clinic Florida said it is against their policy to "restrict the use of any language in the workplace."
