Executive Appointments

  • Maria Martinez has been named corporate vice president of Microsoft Worldwide Services, effective Jan. 5, 2007. Martinez will move from her current role as corporate vice president of the Communications Sector at Microsoft.


  • Jovita Carranza, an experienced Latina business executive has been confirmed as the U.S. Small Business Administration's deputy administrator.


  • Eduardo Minardi will replace retiring Jorge Gonzalez as president of Bridgestone Firestone Latin American Tire Operations. Minardi will also replace Gonzalez in the positions of Bridgestone Americas Holding Inc. (BSAH) executive vice president and BSAH board member.
