Description
The Director of the Research Informatics Core oversees the development of custom research applications, consults with Principal Investigators to determine their informatics needs, and manages systems projects. This position represents the Research Institute on several external fronts and manages relationships with Ohio Supercomputing Center (OSC) and the NIH's Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP). The Director also works closely with outside business clients to develop technologies and programs that may be commercialized through start-up ventures.
Requirements
* The knowledge normally associated with a Masters degree is required (PhD preferred).
* Extensive business project development experience (at least 5 years) required.
* Preference will be given to candidates with experience in negotiating licenses and commercialization agreements in an academic or industry setting.
* Possess the ability to understand complex research studies and clearly articulate commercialization strategies.
