Description |
Reporting to the Vice President, Clinical Services, this position offers a unique and challenging opportunity to develop and implement a contemporary Maternal Child service. Responsibilities include: - With a large span of control, directs and coordinates functions in Maternal Child Services to ensure quality clinical care in accordance with Saint Mary’s and Trinity Health’s mission, vision, goals and objectives.
- Directs the systems and processes for delivering care within the service, including the operation of both outpatient and inpatient units associated with the assigned clinical services.
- Ensures the clinical service operates within budget and in accordance with performance standards.
- Maintains responsibility and accountability for quality care in a cost-effective manner, compatible with recommendations from accrediting agencies.
- Responsibility for using a collaborative approach to setting strategic direction, development of new services, service line growth, and marketing of assigned clinical services.
THE ORGANIZATION: Founded in 1893, Saint Mary's Health Care is a 324-bed integrated healthcare network that is one of 46 Trinity Health hospitals in 7 states. The hospital has 17,400 admissions and 47,000 emergency department visits annually. The department has 116 FTEs and delivers 2,500 babies per year. There is a 26-bed mother/baby unit and a Level III NICU.

Requirements |
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing or related field, with five years of direct clinical experience in Maternal Child services, and a minimum of 3 years progressively more responsible management/leadership experience in an acute care environment.
