Duties:
- Provide technical leadership to develop and evaluate advanced concepts, algorithms and requirements to effectively integrate sensor systems, combat systems and weapon systems and to add new and expanded capabilities to individual systems.
Participate in the design, analysis, and testing of these capabilities. Develop critical technical design guidance to support the transition of key algorithms to industry. Conduct analyses to support progressive phases of system development and testing. Act as a trusted advisor to government sponsors to review contractor designs and propose alternative approaches.
- Participate in and provide key technical leadership to APL and multi-organization systems engineering forums chartered to conduct analyses and develop requirements; provide recommendations of alternative design concepts.
- Interface with sponsors, contractors and other government personnel and effectively communicate and defend proposed concepts or solutions, analytical results or interpretations of actual test results in technical and programmatic forums; produce documentation to effectively capture concept definitions, analytical results, recommendations, and requirements.
