About the Job

As the Contracts & Procurement Manager you will be responsible for day-to-day management of negotiations with our clients and subcontractors. Our clients are Fortune 1000 companies with complex businesses and numerous regulatory concerns. Our subcontractors range from freelancing copy editors to international corporations. In all instances, you will be responsible for keeping the procurement process moving while negotiating contracts that promote and protect our company's business interests.

This is an ideal job for someone experienced in contracts management and/or in procurement negotiations.

Responsibilities

* Day-to-day management of contract negotiations with utility clients (includes dealing with pricing, terms and conditions, and reviewing subsequent contractual documents)

* Review, edit, and negotiate subcontractor contracts.

* Communicate with internal stakeholders, including the VP of Finance, VP of Sales, and General Counsel to ensure that individual client needs and company goals are being addressed.

Requirements

About You

* You have a BS or MS Degree and have at least five years of contract negotiation and procurement experience. Experience with software contracts or privacy agreements is a plus, but is not required. Having a JD degree is a plus but also not required.

* You are persistent and have great people skills. You know how to maintain momentum in a negotiation and can do it while maintaining good rapport with the other side.

* You are highly detail oriented, organized, and prepared.

* You are an experienced and skilled negotiator who is not afraid to take on a team of lawyers all by yourself.

* You demonstrate strong project and process management skills. You are able to multi-task and work under time pressure.

* You function well in a fast-paced, informal, team-focused environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for quality is set high.
