Description

OVERVIEW:

This is a sales position within the Spanish Béisbol Network (SBN) organization with the responsibility to act as SBN's local market representative for SBN's exclusive radio broadcasts of Major League Baseball (MLB) games. In addition, this position will serve as SBN's sales representative for other SBN baseball properties in Texas and as lead contact with Hispanic agencies as assigned.

DUTIES:

Assume primary responsibility and accountability for local sales efforts, including but not limited to:

- sales calls on current and prospective clients, focusing on building relationships by securing their trust and respect

- preservation and expansion of current client relationships

- acquisition and strengthening of new client relationships

- preparation of sales materials customized by market using foundation materials provided by SBN

- pricing for SBN sponsorship packages, including media spots, in-game features and added-value elements using SBN-approved strategies

- development of prospect lists and target number of calls per week, ensuring sales revenue goals are met or exceeded (in coordination with VP of Sales and Sales Advisor)

- participation in regular calls or meetings to provide status updates

Develop successful relationship with SBN Producer, resulting in timely, accurate, reliable exchange of details regarding sponsor's contractual benefits and fulfillment thereof

Grow professionally by maintaining high-energy commitment to staying abreast of industry trends and opportunities

Consistently exhibit sound judgment, a professional demeanor and a respectful attitude towards colleagues and clients, at all times protecting the integrity and reputation of SBN

Consistently adhere to SBN's policies and procedures, including timely and accurate submission of sales reports

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing with 5 years sales

- experience in media, radio or property representation (or related industry)

- Polished written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills

- Excellent social and relationship-building skills

- Strong judgment and decision-making skills

- Excellent organizational skills

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- Extensive network of business contacts in Texas metropolitan areas

- Understanding of sports or media marketing

- Experience in multi-cultural sales, especially Hispanic
