General Description:
Directs and manages the overall function of the Human Resources Department

Functions
Plans, organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems. Evaluates reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals
Administers benefits and compensation program
Administers human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating and directing all human resources projects
Develops and administers an effective selection and recruitment program
Administers job classification programs, which includes classifying and reclassifying positions, and writing job descriptions
Responsible for labor relations and Union contract negotiations when applicable. Maintains working relationship with Union officials and adheres to terms of labor contract by monitoring day-to-day implementation of policies concerning wages, hours and working conditions
Responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal labor and applicable regulations and laws
Responsible for the human resources compliance with the TS16949 certification
Drives and manages all human resources corporate programs such as Succession Planning (MED), Human Resources cost reduction initiatives, standardization of Human Resources practices and procedures


Requirements

Skills and Competences:
Bachelor degree, International and Masters degree desirable
5 years of experience in automotive industry with a global company a must
5-10 general experience in the Human Resources field, administering policies, programs and practices
Experience leading Human Resources cost reduction initiatives, standardization of Human Resources practices and procedures
Knowledge and experience managing Mexican regulations and unions
Preparation and management of Human Resources budget
Experience with Human Resources quality certifications (TS16949)
Strong leadership
Teamwork former
General knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration
Knowledge of sound techniques in all aspects of personnel management
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all employees
Perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relationships
Ability to work under pressure and interface well with all departments and to represent the company in a
Strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of specialized Human Resources field
