Description

Altria Client Services' role is to provide high quality services to the Altria family of companies.
We are currently seeking highly qualified Consumer Research professionals to join our Market Information and Consumer Research department in Richmond, VA. Successful candidates will partner with top tier marketers, vendors and our team of marketing research experts. Our team works in close partnership with marketing management to influence critical decisions across the marketing mix.
Selected candidates will play key roles in designing and executing custom market research studies designed to produce actionable consumer insights related to existing and newly developed products. Other responsibilities will include:
* Consulting with internal clients and colleagues to understand consumer knowledge needs and developing research plans to meet these needs
* Developing, monitoring and analyzing test market studies to evaluate in-market performance of new brands and promotional initiatives
* Providing timely responses to a broad range of questions related to consumer attitudes and behavior from key client groups, including Marketing and senior management
Requirements
We are seeking a Master of Marketing Research or Marketing MBA with a sound understanding of custom marketing research methods. Other qualifications include:
* Demonstrated experience in marketing research for consumer packaged goods organizations, or marketing research in support of brand building initiatives
* Applied marketing research expertise across the marketing mix, to include positioning, pricing, packaging, promotion and product testing
* Excellent leadership skills and the ability to apply those skills in cross-functional teams
* Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills
