Title: Bilingual (Spanish) Customer Service RepresentativeLocation: Regional Claims Recovery Service -- MelvilleOther Locations:The Customer Service Representative performs collection activities in a call center environment in compliance with established department policies and procedures.Responsibilities include:1. Conducts telephone inquires, outbound and inbound, to collect accounts. * Provides explanation of medical bills.* Obtains third party medical insurance.* Processes requests for financial assistance, refers to Financial Assistance Unit.* Answers questions and researches discrepancies.* Advises customer of necessary actions for payment.* Arranges for account payment, establishes payment terms and schedules.2. Processes payments and incoming correspondence.3. Follows-up on missed scheduled payments.4. Researches account information and documents collection activities in multiple computer systems.5. Maintains productivity goals, reviews productivity reports, identifies and resolves backlogs.6. Identifies trends and common concerns raised by customers and formulates scripted responses to frequently asked questions.7. Performs related duties, as required.* High School Diploma or equivalent, required.* Minimum of one (1) year related experience in customer service and/or collections, required. Experience in healthcare or medical insurance industry, preferred.* Experience in a call center environment, strongly preferred.* Strong computer/technical skills, including ability navigate multiple computer systems, required.* Knowledge of medical insurance and medical claims processing, preferred.* Excellent written, dispute resolution and negotiation skills, required.* Ability to listen attentively and speak clearly in pleasant, professional manner, required. Bi-lingual in Spanish, Strongly Preferred.
