Thanks in part to this work; nearly 12 million cancer survivors and countless others who have avoided the disease will celebrate a birthday this year.As the official sponsor of birthdays, we know how important each and every birthday is!This full-time Bilingual (English/Mandarin) Administrative Assistant position is important to the support and the function of the American Cancer Society - California Chinese Unit (ACS-CCU) Community Mission Director (CMD). This position provides continuity, consistency and a point of contact for customers who are served by the ACS-CCU. In addition to supporting the ACS-CCU, the Administrative Assistant will be a member of the Region''s Administrative Project Team and will support projects as assigned. Critical tasks include:1. Administrative duties, office operations (correspondence, phone, emails), logistics coordination for patient support programs, materials ordering; tracks expenditures to assist budget monitoring.2. May assist with handling processing of donations and sponsorships for Relay For Life and other special events.3. Supports Quarterly Chinese Leadership Council meetings.4. Enters and updates data in Siebel. Internal and external CRM with ACS-CCU volunteers, vendors and community members. 5. Supervises and trains office volunteers.6. Other duties include:. Maintaining/Updating CCU Event Calendar.. Distributing Event Announcements via email & flyers.. Supervising office volunteers to assist with various duties and projects, including event registration and Helpline.. Event preparation duties. . Coding Support Group event expenses for reimbursement.. Supporting patient service programs logistics.. Answering the 800# for monolingual Chinese callers.. CCU website content updates.. Outreach - Supporting Outreach Activity logistics. Serving as a member of the Administrative Project Team** May support Relay For Life logisticsPosition Requirements* AA degree, or BS/BA degree (preferred) and 2-5 years of progressive administrative support experience. * Bilingual in English and Mandarin, including typing/writing in Chinese; also fluency in Cantonese is highly desired.* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access; experience with Lotus Notes/Outlook. * Must have access to a reliable form of transportation and may work some evening/weekend hours for event support.
