Monsanto is currently seeking a highly motivated Research Assistant with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary research team.  The Research Assistant will assist in all phases of the site's Operations Program.

The successful Research Assistant has the opportunity to work with pre-planting and post-planting operations and/or equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and supervise pre-planting and post-planting operations and/or equipment maintenance
• Ensure compliance with WPS and federal and state labor law in collaboration with site's ESH and HR leads.
• Supervision and training of regular and temporary employees
• Work closely with the programs to keep operating efficiently
• Participate with team to successfully maintain the Quality Standards
• Assist in other projects and perform other duties as and when required

Required Skills/Experience:

• BS degree in Agricultural Science with at least 2 years of relevant experience in field crop production
• Proficient in Office 2007 (Word, Power Point, Excel and Outlook)
• Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability to balance and prioritize tasks
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both written and oral on both Spanish and English languages
• Broad knowledge of crop production and farming practices as well as farm equipment operation and repair.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• MS degree in Agronomy or related fields
