Sodexo is seeking an experienced Chef Manager for the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis in Memphis, TN.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is a hands on position will work as a team player and will oversee all aspects of food production and quality, runs the front and back of the house, HACCP and safety programs, regulatory compliance and employee training and development.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in food production and service, food and kitchen safety, sanitation for regulatory compliance, inventory management, catering, employee training, hiring, scheduling and payroll. Strong client relations skills will be critical for success in this position. In addition strong computer skills will be required. A culinary degree or culinary certificate and Servsafe certification is preferred. Candidate must passed Federal Reserve Bank background check, nationwide fingerprint check and drug test.

Supervises cooks and oversees the preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of food. Estimates food consumption and purchases food. May assist in cooking and preparing food as necessary. Responsible for maintaining kitchen and storage facilities in sanitary condition. Responsible for cash management. Interacts with client/customers on a regular basis. This position is the leader for an account/unit chef/production group. This position is in smaller accounts/units where there is not a Chef or Food Production Manager. Reports to GM.
Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
