Responsible for translation of News 12 stories from English to Spanish. Ensure all content meets News 12 network standards for journalistic integrity and production quality and conforms to proper rules of grammar and the AP Style Guide. The schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess the following: Minimum of 1-year experience as a news producer or news associate producer. Fluent in reading and writing of both English and Spanish and have the capability to translate into Spanish quickly and accurately for interactive platforms. Excellent news judgment. Knowledge of current events and history. Effective news writing ability for all platforms. Proficient in web production technologies and processes. Creative and proficient in news production equipment and computers with understanding of news production techniques and the ability to develop engaging presentations. Work well under pressure alone and as a member of a team. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to identify problems and develop solutions. Ability to coach and train. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.Area of Interest News/Editorial
