Sodexo Health Care Division has exciting new opportunity for a Facilities/Engineering Operations Manager at St. Michaels Medical Center in Newark, NJ. Saint Michael's Medical Center is a 357-bed regional tertiary-care, teaching, and research center.
The Facilities Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of maintenance, directing and ensuring we are meeting client expectations regarding building maintenance and ground.
The successful candidate should have a strong understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, mechanical systems; the ability to make proper judgment decision regarding equipment; excellent verbal/written communication skills; previous experience with vendor and client relations.
Previous experience working in a healthcare environment is preferred.
Number two position at the account with responsibility for all operations. Assumes GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
