Southern Fastening is the largest privately held distributor of nails and staples in the industry. We have 35 locations in Texas and Oklahoma and over 70 locations system wide. We currently have over 60 sales people in the Texas/Oklahoma market.
Due to renewed growth in the construction industry, we are looking for "hunters" capable of cold calling on new prospects and building a book of business with residual sales.
Candidate will report directly to District Manager.
Candidate will receive training on all aspects of the job. (estimated 6 to 9 month for average performers)
In most cases, trainee will initially be provided a vehicle for field duty once training is complete. Options will be discussed during the interview.
Trainee position pay range starts in the $35,000 to $45,000 (plus expenses) commensurate with experience and prior W-2.
Position requires the ability and desire to run a small business, including, but not limited to sales, service and collections.
Candidate will be required to sell and service pneumatic tools, nails, staples and accessories to the construction, industrial and manufacturing markets.
Candidate will be part of a Team that will consist of outside salesman or salesmen and office personnel.
Must be a self starter and self motivated, yet be a TEAM player. (Even All Stars require a Team.)

Requirements |
Must have Sales Aptitude and a Can Do Attitude.
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required in most markets for expedited career growth.
Clean, neat appearance.
Candidate must have computer knowledge, with the ability to use e-mail and computer processes associated with the job (will receive training on our software)
Must have good, clean driving record (no DWI 's or DUI 's).
Must have stable work history.
We drug test.
Must be healthy and free of any past back injuries.
Previous sales experience a plus, but not required.
Outgoing personality and understanding true customer service is a must.
Minimum High School degree required; some college preferred but can be substituted with work history.
Must be a self starter and self motivated, yet be a TEAM player. (Even All Stars require a Team.)
