Health Outreach Specialist I - BILINGUAL: Provides initial contact between Disease Management Program and specific identified members. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: - Persuades members to participate in the Disease Management Program by providing information about the program, outlining member benefits and explaining available services. - Under immediate supervision, conducts outbound motivational calls to members that do not respond to Disease Management surveys. - Directs members inquiries to appropriate Health Coach or Nurse Health Coaches. -Accept transfer of Spanish enrollment call -Translate clinical calls -Handle inbound calls from our Spanish speaking members Job Qualifications: - Requires High school diploma or the equivalent; - 6 months related customer service or telemarketing experience, keyboarding skills, some knowledge of company services, products and insurance benefits, PC proficiency; or any combination of education/experience, which would provide an equivalent background. -Must be bilingual in English and Spanish WellPoint is ranked as one of America-Ts Most Admired Companies among health insurers by Fortune magazine, one of the 100 Best Places to Work by Working Mother magazine, and is a 2011 DiversityInc magazine Top 50 Company for Diversity.
