AECOM Government Services supports the U.S. federal government with worldwide program management, planning, design, operations and maintenance, logistics, aviation services, security, international development, environmental and civil engineering and mission and intelligence support.Job Description Position Title: Spanish Role PlayerDates: 14-Nov -18 Nov 2012Job Description Location- : Fort AP Hill, VA" Training Objectives. The purpose of this training is to validate the pre-mission training of 85 personnel from the 98th CA Battalion. The purpose of role player support is to promote cultural awareness through scenario immersion and language capability enhancement through proper use of interpreters for specific countries of assignment. Civil Affairs Teams will train to conduct village assessments, key leader engagements, and interaction with the local population in a wide variety of scenarios.- Scope of Training: Civil Affairs Teams will train to conduct civil military operations in the Southern Command area of responsibility.- Role players will take part in the exercise scenarios which may include, but are not limited to: key leader engagements/meetings, questioning villagers, medical/hospital scenarios, police/jail scenarios, difficult crowd situations, building inspections/photography, and assessing bystanders for potential attacks against the military. Role players will be physically and emotionally able to participate in these kinds of scenarios.- Role players will be required to serve in a variety of roles found in a typical Central and South America settings. These roles include, but are not limited to: political leaders, religious leaders, security forces, local merchants, medical personnel, local/national UN Representative, local media, and local national Non-Governmental Organization representative. - Role players must bring and wear costumes / attire appropriate for South America. Role players are also highly encouraged to bring culturally authentic props and/or instruments. Role players must provide their own inclement weather clothing and gear as necessary. It is also highly encouraged that the role player Manager provides three camouflage uniforms, for use by role players, which would be found in South America. All three of these uniforms may be from the same country. - Selected role players may be tasked to participate in limited scenarios involving high-intensity noise from small arms fire with blanks and explosions from simulated grenades. They may be asked to act as victims or casualties in make-up to create the illusion of blood or wounds.
