NurseWise/Nurse Response Registered Nurse - Bilingual Job Title: NurseWise/Nurse Response Registered Nurse - Bilingual Job Type: Full-Time Location: Atlanta, GA Job Description: Position Purpose: Provide information and education for inbound and outbound calls; provide oversight and support to the non-clinical staff when they are assisting members/consumers; may act as a lead on assigned shifts in overseeing and managing clinical call queues and operations; perform duties and responsibilities as related to the various disease management programs and SSI programs (i.e. Health Risk Assessments). Knowledge/Experience: Registered nurse, current registered nurse license without restrictions in the state of employment. May require additional states of RN licensure. Position requires at least 2 years of clinical experience; prefer at least 5 years of experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, obstetrics or ambulatory care setting. Strong computer skills required, including experience with Microsoft office and/or data entry systems. Must possess and demonstrate strong abilities in data entry, typing, call documentation and customer service skills including active listening. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish is preferred. Experience in a managed care setting is preferred. Position Responsibilities: . Possess and maintain a thorough grasp of clinical knowledge (i.e. pertaining to various disease states, medications, treatments, etc). . Comply with Federal and respective states laws regulating health management organizations and call centers. . Comply with all department standards and policies and procedures. . Maintain required licenses and CEUs to support professional licensure and certification (as applicable) . Apply primary nursing knowledge while performing all aspects of assigned tasks. . Answer all calls in a timely manner . Interact with callers, other staff, and clients in a polite and courteous manner and build effective working relationships. . Maintain confidentiality of all caller and personnel issues. . Document all call inquiries according to department policies and procedures. . Participate in the collection of data for department QI/QA projects. . Work effectively with coworkers to maintain and improve operations. . Participate in staff meetings and trainings. Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license without restrictions in the state of employment.
