SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Operations organization with non-exempt staffing, providing excellent HR service, and handling day-to-day administrative tasks and processing related to payroll, HRIS, performance management, onboarding, workers compensation, safety, and other related tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Provide non-exempt staffing for multi-site warehouse and transportation teams to include:
Develop sources of qualified candidates, internal/external job posting, perform application/ resume review, phone screening, interview scheduling, interviewing, testing, offer preparation, reference and background checking, physical abilities and drug testing, finalizing start date, and onboarding/ orientation of new hire.
Perform data entry and paperwork processing into payroll/time and attendance/HR systems.
Respond timely to all internal and external inquiries including email, phone calls, incoming mail, walk-in associates.
Maintain integrity of human resources job files, I-9's, and confidential associate/benefit files in accordance with legal requirements and Company policies and procedures. Such activities will involve:
New hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, performance evaluations, pay and other status changes, workers compensation.
Complete and process employment verifications and unemployment inquiries.
Provide translation assistance as necessary.
Perform other duties assigned by human resources staff.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Associate degree or equivalent training and experience. PHR certification a plus. 2 years human resources experience specifically in staffing and administration. Experience in distribution or manufacturing preferred. Basic understanding of federal, state and local employment laws. Must be proficient with MS Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Bilingual (Eng/Spanish) skills preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office setting; occasionally required to stand; walk; sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must possess a commitment to work varied hours to accomplish tasks and be able to travel with little or no notice.
