Bilingual Health Educator Department: New Life Center Schedule: Per Diem Shift: Day Shift Hours: Varied Contact Information: Email: seandugan@dochs.org Job Details: JOB SUMMARY: The bilingual health educator will conduct prenatal education groups and one on one birth education to expectant mothers at theNewLifeCenter. They must have good communication skills and prior teaching ability. Requires one year of experience in perinatal care. Flexibility in work hours to accommodate needs of the patient. Bachelors degree preferred. QUALIFICATIONS/JOB REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Training as a health educator required. Bachelors degree preferred EXPERIENCE: One year experience in Perinatal Care/Education required Bilingual (English/Spanish) required Prior Clinic experience preferred CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certification as a Perinatal Services Program Provider preferred OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of fetal development, preparation for birth, breastfeeding, womens health parenting and newborn infant care required Must be able to conduct prenatal education groups and one on one health education Ability to work as a part of the multidisciplinary team for care required Good communication skills in English/Spanish
