Description

Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a qualified General Manager/Facility Engineer, to support an existing Client in New Jersey for a 4 months temporary assignment. This upscale Continuing Care Retirement Community includes independent living, assisted living, and long term skilled living.

The successful candidate will possess skills in building engineering with a strong technical background in Maintenance; in addition to exceptional verbal and written communication. The General Manager will contribute by completing projects at the community in the disciplines of engineering with support for other departments. This manager must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors and managing people and will work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace to make every day a better day for our clients and residents.

The major role of the General Manager will be to provide support to the day-to-day operations ensuring relaxing, comforting care to the residents. The General Manager will be assigned to support the Building Services General Manager by completing projects and other activities of the Building Services Department (Maintenance, Housekeeping & Laundry).

Previous experience in a senior living community or health care community preferred. Knowledge of Department of Health codes is a plus. The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours.

Directs all maintenance operations of buildings and grounds at a single unit. Schedules maintenance and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. Supervises janitorial services and grounds maintenance such as landscaping, lawn and snow removal. May also supervise the security function and construction projects.. Overall responsibility for maintaining payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
