w.henrystreet.org : About Us : Employment : Job PostingsBilingual Office Administrator Primary & Behavioral Health (Health Unlimited) Start Date:As soon as possible Hours:Full time Salary:Commensurate with experience Qualifications: * BA with two (2) years of medical office experience or two (2) years of college with five (5) years of medical office experience * Must be bilingual (English/Chinese) * Highly organized and able to multi-task * Exceptional time management ability and the ability to perform multiple tasks at one time * Ability to handle high volume front desk * Computer literacy including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Strong organizational skills * Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure * Knowledge of e-Clinical Works and/or electronic medical records a plus Responsibilities: * Greet patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone * Answer multi-line telephone system, take messages and route calls * Manage appointment schedule using e-Clinical Works Electronic Medical Record and sync with ZocDoc on-line medical scheduler * Register all new and established patients daily * Screen all walk-in patients * Assist new patients with paperwork and insurance status and refer to billing department * Work closely with billing department and billing company to ensure optimal reimbursement levels * Initiate calls for primary care physician changes and refer to billing department * Collect patient balances including deductibles and co-payments * Take refill requests from patients and pharmacies * Arrange transportation for patients and provide dispatch services for the Community Consultant Center (C) * Process incoming and outgoing medical records requests * Create and update medical forms and electronic templates as needed * Contact patients regarding missed appointments * Enter data and run reports from the electronic medical record * Assist with technical issues and open support tickets with e-Clinical Works * Provide Chinese/English translation for patients * Handle petty cash for supplies and/or for patient transportation * Manage inventory of office supplies * Scan documents into e-Clinical Works * Coordinate appointments for Henry Street Settlement shelter families * Coordinate referrals to specialists for patients * Draft medical letters for patients * Request Medicaid Overrides * Train new and current staff on e-Clinical Works * Keep tabs on Meaningful Use measures and regular reports on open encounters * Meet with other staff to facilitate interdepartmental referrals * Keep abreast of Patient Centered Medical Home implementation and measures * Sort all mail and faxes; respond as necessary * Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information * Other duties as assigned Apply To:Please send resume and cover letter tojobs@henrystreet.org.
