Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef for a 40 bed Community Hospital which is part of a larger hospital network. Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham (BID-Needham) is a licensed acute care community hospital affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston. BID-Needham has served residents in Needham, Dedham, Dover, Westwood, Medfield and other surrounding communities for nearly a century. The Executive Chef plans, directs and coordinates all activities of the production staff. This includes the purchase and receiving of food and supplies as well as monitoring the inventory and maintaining food production documentation. The Executive Chef will have knowledge of current food trends. Experience with large, upscale catering functions is a plus. Responsible for food production in a foodservice operation. May be responsible for one area (i.e., hot foods) or could specialize (i.e., catering). Supervises a staff of hourly associates. May be responsible for food inventory and ordering. May conduct culinary training. Manages the kitchen. Reports to GM or Executive Chef.

Basic Education Requirement - Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
