Job Summary:

The Analyst supports FINRA's external website and email communications efforts by managing content, responding to requests from internal clients for content changes and advising management on requested changes. The Analyst works independently, requiring little or no oversight in the completion of assignments, to ensure that FINRA's online channel continues to function effectively as a critical vehicle for delivering information to FINRA audiences.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages, posts, updates and removes content in accordance with regulatory statute and organizational goals.
  • Manages multiple small projects to ensure timely website updates and external email communications. Helps maintain content and email calendars to facilitate task tracking. Works closely with team members to coordinate workload and divide responsibilities.
  • Prepares Web content and email communications from a variety of source files including Word, CMS templates, emails, Adobe Acrobat, etc.
  • Advises clients on design, organization, and editorial issues; manages compromises to ensure client objectives, user experience goals and corporate web standards are met.
  • Makes decisions affecting website policy and procedure as proposed by the client and elevated to supervisor if necessary.
  • Support social media activities.
  • Creates or updates existing procedural documents as needed to enable all team members to readily respond to requests with consistent results.
  • Analyzes data from Google Analytics and other sources to support departmental and business unit decision making.
  • Works closely with FINRA Technology Department to ensure on-time deliverables to internal clients.
  • Identifies and escalates significant issues as appropriate.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in continuing education courses, professional organizations, seminars and workshops and reading current literature.
  • Keep abreast of both industry developments and FINRA issues in order to best advise clients and management.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or work experience and formal training equivalent to a four-year degree. Proficiency in Web mark-up languages: XHTML/HTML 4.0, CSS. Basic understanding of Javascript.
  • Experience with enterprise-class content management systems.
  • Solid working knowledge of Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, and other media/ document creation tools.
  • Experience with Google Analytics, including campaign/conversion/event tracking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Some familiarity with social media, especially Twitter.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is normally performed in an office environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Extended hours may be required.
