Description

Position Description:
 
You will be making outbound calls to facilities & hospitals to gather discharge or admission information on patients.  Average time on the phone will be 30% of your time. You will be working out of a work queue and be responsible for managing several cases. Your main objective is to find out if the patient is in the hospital and or receiving continuous care or if the patient has been discharged. Once the information on the patient has been gathered you will be responsible for uploading the information into the system and getting the information to the nurse that is responsible for that patient. Along with updating the work queue you will also for updating the reporting tool, which consists of gathering patient info. This is a metric driven environment, so candidates must be outgoing, positive and customer focused.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming provider and enrollee calls
  • Resolve customer service inquiries which could include:
  • Enter notifications, Providers status of an existing notification and determining if notification is required.
  • Complete notification wizard along with ICD-9 and CPT coding
  • Provide excellent customer service to both providers and enrollees
  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
  • Assist with faxes and emails.
 




Requirements

Requirements:
  • HS Diploma/GED
  • 6+ months Medical Terminology/Coding (ICD-9 and CPT)
  • 6+ months Healthcare or Insurance benefits
  • 6+ months Professional experience in an office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
  • 2+ years experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
