Sodexo is seeking a part time, 2 day/week Dialysis Dietitian for South Nassau Communities Hospital. This progressive community hospital is located on the South Shore of LI. The selected candidate must have a minimum of 1 year clinical experience as a Registered Dietitian.
Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the selected candidate will:
Work as part of a 3 RD team to provide nutritional care to the dialysis patients.
Work (2) 7 hours days/week, 11:00am-6:00pm
Be a Registered Dietitian with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience and licensed in NY.
Have good time-management and organizational skills with an emphasis on efficiency.
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
Have experience with electronic charting and the NCP
Provide education to patients and family members as well as interdepartmental staff.

Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients/residents and/or hospital personnel in principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Performs routine care responsibilities without training and direction.
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 1 year work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
