Bilingual Field Safety Inspector AMPAM Parks Mechanical is a family owned, well-established and growing plumbing contractor located in the Los Angeles Harbor area. We specialize in the design and build of multi-residence construction projects in Southern and Northern California. Due to our agressive growth, we are currently looking to add a Bilingual Field Safety Inspector to the Southern California area jobsites. This position will be based out of Carson, CA, however will require daily travel throughout the Orange County areas. JOB SUMMARY:Reporting to the Safety Manager, this position is responsible for developing and maintaining all functions of safety including site inspections, planning, training and development, OSHA permit requirements for compliance with federal and state regulations. Will also play a vital role in workers compensation claims reporting and injury investigations. MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):Complete monthly on-site safety inspections to cover all active job sites in assigned areaImplement and monitor safety programMonthly Safety reportingInvestigate safety incidents and recommend corrective actionFile permits for trenching and excavating Provide employee and supervisor safety training REQUIRED EXPERIENCEMinimum of 3 years safety inspection experience preferrably in a construction environment. Bilingual (English/Spanish) RequiredWorking knowledge of OSHA construction standardsExperience in conducting safety training programs to construction crewsOSHA 30-hour Construction Certification In addition to the above all candidates must have experience in *Trenching and Excavation **Scaffolding Safety**Construction site inspections**Class C drivers license with good driving record (no DUI\'s or excessive traffic violations)**Forklift Safety**Excellent communication and group presentation skills**Computer literate Only candidates that meet the requirements above will be considered. Starting pay for this position is in the $40K range (DOE) with a company vehicle after initial training. All candidates must provide cover letter and resume for consideration.
