Description |
Job Summary:
The Service Sales Supervisor responsibilities include planning, implementing, directing and maintaining the service sales programs; ensuring that departmental work goals are being met; performing a variety of services sales operations; and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel and other resources. Additionally, the Service Sales Supervisor is responsible for the day to day management of the service sales staff ensuring that production and service standards are met.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Maintain high level of communication with employees, discipline, and motivate
Meet with group and or store management on schedules as requested by Service Sales Manager.
Review procedures with employees on a regular basis to make them aware of any service level deficiencies and create action plans for performance improvement.
Maintains thorough knowledge of company policies and procedures in order to evaluate staff performance and compliance with set standards. Must have the ability to follow the standards set forth in the employee handbook and apply discipline as needed to include performance action planning.
Monitor absentee / employee attendance in order to ensure that territory is covered at all times. This may include personally covering territory.
Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner. This includes addressing complaint with service sales staff member in order to ensure that the issue is not repeated.
Write Ad Planner for Service Groups
Administrative duties, including processing of credits
Compile presentation of Department quarterly Group Buy for our Service customers
Special projects and territory changes
Sell promotional items, book quantities with our service sales team; coordinate weekly distributions of the items to support ads.
Coordinate all materials for presentation of weekly meeting
Inventory check and profile printouts
Support Department Manager, as needed, to include meeting with assigned vendors as required.

Requirements |
7+ years related work experience, preferring 4+ years in a supervisory level role
Familiarity with grocery store operations and procedures
Ability to learn and follow Grocers Supply operations and procedures as well as maintain Service Sales territory in an efficient and professional manner
Familiarity with Product placement and movement trends and patterns
Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written
Ability to maintain confidential information
Ability to Travel, both in and out of town, as needed for business purposes. Overnight travel is required from time to time.
Valid Driver's License and Valid Insurance with extended liability limits
Must maintain a clear driving record
Ability to drive a van if needed for business purposes.
Ability to use power tools if needed for setting
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Bilingual Spanish / English
Preferred:
Experience supervising route sales or merchandising teams for either a broker or DSD vendor
Retail Experience as a store manager, assistant manager or grocery manager
