Job Summary:
The position oversees assigned day to day functional/departmental operations including, but not limited to: associate management, production, quality, safety, sanitation, and other duties that may be assigned. Key Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions:
Coach, train, and lead work teams to achieve or exceed performance standards.
Plan and execute work operations in accordance with established procedures, guidelines, and requirements.
Supervise work teams as assigned: Receiving, Inventory Control, Put-Away, Selection, Shipping, Sanitation, Truck Check In, Returns, Assembly, Quality Control, and other assigned functions.
Adherence and compliance to Company Policies, procedures, controls, and
Compliance to Governmental and Regulatory Agency rules, laws and/or regulations.
Monitor and maintain a safe working environment though compliance of safety programs.
Maintain or exceed expected levels of customer (internal/external) service and quality.
Cultivate a positive and motivating work environment.
Recommend and participate in: hiring, termination, performance appraisal, labor standards, and transparent feedback.
Administrative duties as assigned.
Work cross-functionally with other departments, customers, companies on projects and activities as assigned.
Travel will be very limited, but may be required to visit customers or other operations. All travel expenses will be paid for by the Company based upon Policy.
Relocation may be requested as GSC grows into new operations and/or locations.
Work schedules that involve a variety of shifts, hours, nights, holidays, weekends, and temperatures may be required.

Requirements |
High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
3-5 years of experience in warehousing or logistics with 2-4 of those years in a supervisory capacity.
Strong customer service, communication, organizational, analytical, supervisory, and leadership skills.
Ability to build sound working relationships with hourly associates and experience holding employees accountable for working safely and ensuring a safe work environment.
Ability to define performance measures and perform financial and metrics analysis.
Proven ability to define performance measures related to the business and hold associates accountable for the same.
Ability to analyze cost performance data to improve operations and reduce costs.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and team building skills.
Must possess the following traits: proactive, risk-taker, change agent, and strong sense of courage.
Must be comfortable at giving and receiving open feedback.
Able to supervise a medium-sized group of warehouse employees.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA degree
Bilingual - English / Spanish
High level of experience with grocery, food, food service distribution and/or warehousing
Logistics Experience within the United States Military to include minimum of three (3) years as a non-commissioned officer with direct leadership experience in a branch of the United States military.
