Description |
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for activities related to the construction and ongoing maintenance of distribution facilities.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Responsible for planning, directing, and reviewing the activities and operations of the facilities department; includes building construction, grounds, material handling, equipment maintenance, and automation necessary to support distribution centers.
Build partnerships with Operations, Distribution, Engineering, Building Services, and Asset Protection groups in order to develop and execute strategies.
Coordinate with partners to deliver safe and high performance facilities while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
Support Operations teams by ensuring a safe, customer-focused environment.
Oversee multiple internal and external daily activities and projects.
Develop and manage projects to ensure departmental and distribution goals are accomplished within deadlines.
Develop capital spending plans, facilitate cross-functional projects plans, and perform cost analysis.
Manage complex material handling projects from conception to implementation.
Coordinate activities with outside regulatory agencies in order to ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
Oversee building, mechanical, and technical contractors.

Requirements |
7+ years' experience in Facility Engineering/Maintenance
10+ years' experience directing facilities operations of multiple distribution centers
Must have experience overseeing Food with Refrigeration distribution facilities
Knowledge and experience with computerized maintenance management systems and deploying management solutions
Extensive knowledge of complex principles for maintenance program development and administration
Expertise in federal, state, local, and system policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
Ability to lead, influence, and manage cross-functional business partners and large teams
Strong project and process planning skills and budgeting experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) preferred
Successful experience in the food distribution industry in a facility engineering / maintenance leadership capacity
Successful experience coordinating construction efforts related to the opening of new distribution facilities
Bilingual Spanish / English
