Job Posting Number: 24363BR Job Posting Title: Perf Improvement Engineer Job Posting Category: Business Professional Work Site: MCHS - SW WI - La Crosse Department: Clinical Quality Job Description Job Summary: Serves as leader and coordinator for quality improvement activities and processes in the following clinical quality specialties in the SWWI region: • Surgery/Hospital/Emergency Outcomes, Participates on regional and Mayo-wide improvement teams in alignment with Mayo Clinic Health System (MC HS) and Mayo Clinic. Collaborates with providers, leadership and staff to coordinate and implement comprehensive clinical performance measurement systems and improve quality of care. Leads and participates on quality improvement teams to ensure alignment, standardization, and adoption of best practices. Maintains proficiency and expertise in quality improvement methodologies. Ability to build relationships and gain alignment for clinical support and be able to articulate questions to receive an appropriate level of support from superiors and peers. Basic Qualifications: Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, business administration, health information management or health-related field and 3-5 years’ experience to include several of the following areas of expertise: group facilitation, consulting, workflow analysis, process change, leadership, and project management with broad-based key institutional quality initiatives OR Master’s degree in nursing, business administration, or health-related field and training to include several of the following areas of expertise: group facilitation, consulting, workflow analysis, process change, leadership, and project management with broad-based key institutional quality initiatives Ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects with multiple priorities. Must be capable of consulting, facilitating teams, and developing/implementing solutions (problems involve analytical and creative elements) for issues with significant impact to the organization. Strong time management skills and sound judgment. Requires expert knowledge of several problem-solving methodologies, continuous improvement methods, project management methods, and analytical tools and methodologies (e.g., Lean Management, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Mapping). Excellent interpersonal skills, which include the ability to present, negotiate, persuade, influence and provide written communications.
