The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for the coordination of nursing care, patient education, and discharge planning. The RN provides nursing care to patients and their significant others using an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care. The RN uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients from admission through discharge. The RN provides leadership in various roles that include, but are not limited to preceptor role, lead/charge nurse, and committee member. The American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics for Nurses provide a basis for practice.
Basic Qualifications:
Active Wisconsin RN license or ability to practice professional nursing in the state of Wisconsin.Current BLS Certification.One year of long term care experience, preferred. preferred.Bachelors of Science - Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited university preferred

Flexibility (Works flexible hours, which include days, evenings, nights, holidays, and weekends).Basic computer skills.Ability to read and communicate effectively in EnglishLeadership, problem solving, verbal and written communication, and team buildingBasic improvement concepts and techniquesKnowledge of medical terminology.Ability to organize and prioritize work/tasks, interprets medical abbreviations and symbols, demonstrates solution-oriented decision-making and problem-solving skills, utilizes excellent verbal and written communication, promotes team building and displays honesty, respect, and trust in daily practice.
License or Certification:
Exemption Status: Non-exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 48
Schedule Details: 2:15pm-10:45pm; Days Vary.
Weekend Schedule: Weekend Rotation.
Compensation Detail: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.29 per hour.
