Here we grow again! Sodexo Leisure has a new opening for a General Manager for the Catering & Special Events services at the Columbus Zoo. This GM will oversee catered events ranging from corporate picnics to upscale weddings. Assisted by a Catering Mgr & Executive Chef, the team will hire, train & schedule staff, plan & execute multiple events year round.
The ideal candidate will have successfully managed a large indoor/ outdoor catering venue with full P&L responsibility. If you have experience fully planning & managing large volume events, we want to speak with you!
Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
