As the Manager, Planned Giving Services you will manage delivery of United Way Worldwide's Planned Giving services to local United ways and their donors including United Way Life and the Charitable Gift Annuity/Pooled Income Fund. Promotes and offers training to local United Ways on theTocqueville Legacy Circle program. Is responsible for the overall delivery of assigned work projects within the department/team. Determines work tactics, project deliverables and resource requirements. Participates in the development of departmental action plans, work processes and systems.

Your Key Responsibilities/Essential duties of the Position:

Promotion and execution of United Way Life (UWL)

o Presence and poise with ability to interact with local United Way executives, major donors and financial planning professionals

o Answer general UWL inquiries from local United Ways

o Support local United Ways enrolled in UWL with excellent customer service; answering questions promptly; keeping communication moving through the underwriting process of their prospects; and providing follow up upon completion of UWL gift

o Manager inquiries from interested UWL prospects and provide quote requests where appropriate

o Transition relationship with the UWL prospect to appropriate life insurance professional and monitor the relationship to ensure follow through is timely and professional.

o Ensure delivery of the UWL policy to the local United Way

o Continue growth of this successful program by increasing visibility, effectiveness, and efficiency of process

Promotion and execution of charitable gift annuity program (CGA) and pooled income fund (PIF) programs

o Answer general CGA/PIF inquries from prospects and local United Ways

o Obtain information from prospects and/or local United Ways necessary to produce gift illustrations

o Utilizing PGCal software to generate gift illustrations to be provided to prospects and/or local United Ways

o Provide prompt follow up with prospects and/or local United Ways on gift illustrations to determine prospect's interest in proceeding with gift

o Close gift by producing and finalizing gift agreements and contracts

o Serve as program liaison between PIF trustee/CGA administrator and United Way Worldwide

o Complete annual state filing regarding the charitable gift annuity program on schedule

Promotion and execution of Tocqueville Legacy Circle program

o Enhance support to United Ways with Tocqueville Legacy Circle programs through telephone/email support

o Conduct webinars and in-person training

o Participate in local United Way on-sites

o Develop collateral material

o Develop an understanding of best practices and facilitate learnings between communities

o Champion integration of Tocqueville Legacy Circle into all major giving efforts.

o Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree.

Experience Required:
At least three years of advanced-level experience in a similar role. Excellent communications (verbal/written) skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Microsoft Office. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent program management skills. Additionally, this position requires one to three years of experience in a leadership role. Licensed insurance agent or willing to undergo the licensing process.
