Job Description
A full-time, bilingual (Spanish/English) Medical Secretary is needed for a busy practice in Natick. Previous experience or medical office training required. A strong commitment to exceptional customer service and the ability to multi-task is required.
Responsibilities
o Demonstrates courteous professional and cooperative behavior toward patients, visitors, coworkers and physicians in person and on the phone.
o Manages physician schedule. Supports and assists all physicians and clinical staff with patient flow.
o Responsible for appointment scheduling, patient registration/discharge and making referral/ancillary appointments. Performs phone duties. Processes referrals.
o Verifies patient registration and insurance information. Collects appropriate copays, deductibles and other related payments that are due at time of service.
o Prepares medical records and documentation. Coordinates record release and mail.
o Maintains and orders office supplies.
o Assists with typing of reports, correspondence and dictation as requested by physicians.
Qualifications
Candidates must have previous experience or training.
Strong computer and typing skills required. Prior electronic medical record system strongly preferred.
Experience with and knowledge of third-party payors preferred.
Exceptional customer-service skills.
Fluent in Spanish.
