Robert Half has an ongoing opportunity for a bilingual (English & Spanish) Staff Accountant in the West area of Houston. This role reports directly to the Assistant Controller of the organization and is responsible for assisting him with the interpretation of financial reports and maintaining the Accounting for more than one location. As an Accountant you will be responsible for reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, preparing financial statements, assessing internal control, performing monthly balance sheet and income statements as well as managing changes in financial position/budget variance analysis, assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management, maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules and other duties as necessary. This position is a full time position that requires approximately 40 hours a week in the office. Occasional overtime may be necessary during peak times such as Month End but there is no excessive overtime. To qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of a 4 year degree in Accounting, 1+ year(s) of experience, Full Cycle Accounting through Financial Statements, strong computer skills and a desire to succeed. Preference is being given to candidates with a MBA and/or CPA. Bilingual English/Spanish a must!
