Description

Speech-Language Pathologist in Washington DC (Bilingual Spanish preferred) Signature Learning Resources, Inc. and its sister company, Interactive Therapy Group Consultants, Inc., provide a comprehensive range of services to children with developmental delays and disabilities in the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic and has developed a reputation for providing well-rounded therapeutic solutions. Signature Learning Resources is looking for a time licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (Bilingual-Spanish preferred) to provide school age based services for a Charter school located in Northwest DC. A DC license is required, and pay rate is very competitive. Note: This position will report directly to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Program Director located in WDC. Summary of Position: Responsible for providing quality services to diverse clients and their families, through appropriate clinical competencies and practices, effective communication and trans-disciplinary teaming. Essential Functions: * Responds positively to suggestions/directions, maintains a flexible attitude, and generates new ideas or process improvements. * Is proactive in maintaining a caseload, with a minimum of 6 units per week, and providing services as authorized to clients. * Communicates problematic clinical issues with respective supervisor. * Monitors client treatment goals and implements therapy plans effectively during sessions. * Collaborates with colleagues on shared cases on at least a monthly basis as evidence by documentation in the treatment notes. * Provides treatment documentation within 24 hours of services rendered. * Attends and participates in ongoing staff in-services and quarterly meetings. * Establishes and maintains a rapport with clients/family members/caregivers and co-workers as well as provides weekly education and training as appropriate. * Completes reports and submits to required recipients within specified due dates provided by respective supervisor * Effectively communicates and works with related agencies, community members, clients, families and co-workers. * Adheres to universal precautions and safety precautions. Minimum Requirements: * Knowledge of Washington D.C. laws/regulations pertaining to speech-language pathology and public charter schools. * Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology * DC State License * ASHA Certification a plus * Minimum of 2-3 years direct experience required. Settings include traditional public schools and charter schools.
