Sodexo is currently seeking a Food Service Manager to support our account at The College of New Jersey located in Ewing, NJ. This is a year-round campus dining facility with standard hours of operation from 7:30am - 9:00pm.

Our Food Service Manager will have direct oversight of a management team of 6 as well as our kitchen team which includes an Executive Chef, Sous Chefs and line level staff. Indirectly, this position will have oversight of 150-200 unionized line-level employees supporting the operation. On a daily basis this role will be responsible for inventory reconciliations, cash management oversight, client relations and training and development. In addition, our selected candidate will also partner with the culinary team to develop meal plans on a weekly basis.

Our ideal candidate will be a focused and passionate food service leader with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. High volume food service operations leadership experience, solid financial acumen, stellar communication and the demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop teams will be required. Culinary experience is a plus.

Responsible for managing multi-functional food service areas in a single account/unit. May assume GM's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Assists in maintenance of cash control and payroll records. Assists in supporting the financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED
Basic Management Experience - 1 year
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
