The Revenue Cycle Business System Analyst III supports Revenue Cycle by improving end to end revenue cycle data flow. Identifies problems and areas of opportunity in organizational processes and technology. Oversees and ensures the accuracy and integrity of Kaiser Permanente's financial data by monitoring systems and reviewing configurations. Identifies opportunities for shared service, drives consistency, efficiency and economies. Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility (KP's Code of Conduct) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable), and KP's policies and procedure.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Performs root cause analysis of issues, develops cross-application solution design (system and/or workflow based)
* Reviews reports for data completeness and accuracy
* Evaluate HealthConnect (Epic) configuration for optimization and best practice identification and implementation
* Collaborate with Scheduling, Revenue Cycle, Medical Operations, Physicians, & HealthConnect (Epic System) leaders to optimize KP's success by ensuring optimal system configuration for complete and accurate data flow
* Works with internal customers to ensure newly implemented workflows and procedures support revenue cycle integrity
* Participates in testing and implementation of new and existing functionality to support revenue processes and accurate, complete data flow
* Grows expertise in end to end data flow and Kaiser Revenue Cycle processes.




Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in health care, engineering, computer science, math, hard science or related field
* Two years experience in health care information technology preferred; 5 years overall experience
* Knowledge of/experience with Epic systems corporation software suite with focus on Resolute PB or HB, EpicCare Ambulatory or InPatient
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make recommendations for solutions based on independent analysis.
* Effective communication, influencing, and partnering skills at all organizational levels
* Knowledge of health care issues and the health care industry and/or health care coding and billing practices preferred
