Basic Qualifications: - Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required - Minimum one (1) year of recent RN Psych experience - Two (2) or more years in a behavioral health setting, telephone triage support preferred - Graduate from an accredited nursing school - BSN preferred - Current CA RN License - Psychiatric & chemical dependency knowledge & ability to work w/ dual diagnosis patients - Able to triage & evaluate various aspects of the psychiatric population - Excellent interpersonal & communication skills required - Knowledge of psychiatric medications, actions & side effects in an adult & pediatric population - Child & family education & learning theory technique, preferred - Group leadership skills, excellent verbal & written communication skills, including the ability to gather information & express empathy on the telephone, the ability to remain positive & helpful when very busy & w/ difficult patient population & the ability to multitask & prioritize work, preferred - Computer skills to include data entry, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & HealthConnect, preferred Notes: - This is a Per Diem position, schedule may vary according to departmental needs - Flexible working hours - Must successfully pass or have passed the bilingual test (within the last 12 months), or be active in the QBS program.
