Description

Chicago Botanic Garden is a living museum with a core mission of sustainability and education. Sodexo Leisure , the onsite food service provider, has an opening for a Catering Manager . The ideal candidate has high end catering front of house experience managing staff and guest interaction with a strong focus on guest experience. Having knowledge and passion around sustainability is a plus. The Catering Mgr will report to the GM with responsibilities of service to include managing labor costs, execution of catering tastings, event set-ups- clean up.
This position is well suited for manager with interest in getting exposure to multiple aspects of the hospitality business from special events, sales, marketing, programming, culinary and will provide an outstanding opportunity for growth in Sodexo Leisure.

Directs setup for events. Responsible for pricing, billing and resolving customer complaints. Develops menu/costing.

Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
