Description

Immediate opening for a skilled bilingual (Spanish/English) paralegal with 2+ years of immigration law experience, specifically in removal/deportation defense and family-based immigration. The position involves: Preparing Applications for Relief including, but not limited to: Adjustment of Status; Asylum & Withholding of Removal; Consular Processing; COR(a)&(b);DACA; Employment Authorization; NACARA; Petitions for Special Immigrant Juvenile; Temporary Protected Status; and Responding to RFE's; Preparing files and submissions for Master Calendar and Individual Hearings in Federal Immigration Court; Contacting clients to request submission of necessary documents for applications and court submissions; Fielding a heavy volume of client inquiries via phone and in person; Maintaining the firm calendar and providing scheduling updates to firm attorneys, personnel, and clients; Providing translation and interpretation from Spanish to English and vice versa; Producing and submitting written legal documents and routine letters & memoranda; Assisting with a wide range of administrative tasks, such as filing, processing mail, greeting clients, Maintaining the firm calendar in Microsoft Outlook. Requirements The successful candidate is fluent in written and spoken Spanish & English. S/he has 2+ years of immigration law experience, specifically in preparing and submitting the above-listed applications. S/he is an absolute team player with a demonstrated record of achievement, is committed to excellent client service, is well organized and self-motivated, possesses excellent written and spoken communication skills, and is fluent in technology - particularly the Microsoft Office suite.
