As the Manager, Corporate Relations (Cause Marketing) your primary responsibilities will focus on building and strengthening relationships with our corporate partners by effectively working with the corporate relations account leads to promote United Way's range of partnership opportunities, securing recognition for corporate partners, and equipping the corporate relations team to communicate United Way's priority initiatives, products and partnership offerings to corporate leaders.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Cause marketing: take the lead to help bring in new cause marketing partnerships and manage current partnerships involving these companies, including creating communication pieces to support the partnership, working with local United Ways, managing the program details, and liaising between Brand and GCL to ensure seamless coordination. This also includes working with Brand to promote national cause campaigns (e.g. Campaign for the Common Good, Back to Football Friday, etc.) with companies to raise awareness/visibility as valued by media impressions and financial resources and to strengthen partnerships.
2. Company recognition: proactively seek recognition opportunities for companies including strategizing story ideas to recognize corporate partners and communicate United Way priority initiatives, assisting with media pitching, leading the charge regarding social media recognition, and sharing recognition tools and resources with the field through webinars, United Way Online, etc.
3. Public website: manage the Corporate Relations public website, including writing content and utilizing the content management tools to maintain the site. Part of the public website includes using blogging and social media sites (Twitter, Facebook) to share content and promote companies.
4. Research: perform research on corporate social responsibility, competition, companies, volunteerism, current trends in philanthropy and business, etc.
5. Special projects: manage or assist with other communication projects as needs arise.
6. Other duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree.
Experience Required:
At least four to seven years of advanced-level experience in a similar role. Excellent relationship management skills. Excellent program management skills. Excellent communications skills (verbal/written). Ability to interact with all levels of staff. Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
