STAFF ANALYST - Supply Networks

Location: Novation, Corporate Headquarters - Irving, TX

Job Summary:

Responsible for identifying and quantifying cost reduction opportunities for Supply Networks through customized partnership agreements. This position is critical for strengthening VHA relationships with these valuable members through collaboration with VHA & Novation staff, regional offices, and members. Primary tasks will focus on identifying and validating supply cost reduction opportunities by using member line-item purchasing data.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze current product usage & cost against member contracts through data mining, cross-referencing, and applying pricing to PO line item data that is submitted by the member
  • Create analytical reports: detail, line items analysis reports, high-level directional reports, market share reports, and project tracking reports/dashboards
  • Interpret reports and make recommendations to internal Network staff
  • Communicate savings and cost reduction initiatives to a variety of audiences, including Novation contracting staff, field account teams, member executives and supplier through spreadsheet documents, presentations, meeting participation and one-on-one conversations.
  • Research products to validate assigned cross-references and/or assign missing cross-references
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on advanced analytical processes and procedures (i.e.: Ortho, Cardiology, Purchased Services, Capital, etc…)
  • Project management and/or active involvement and ownership of data collection, analysis and reporting
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, sometimes requiring originality, ingenuity and initiative.
  • Perform additional projects/duties as needed by the departments

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required, Master or another relevant degree, a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and high level of competence with technology
  • Detail and Action oriented with high initiative and ability to think independently
  • Requires teamwork and collaboration with focus on customer service
  • Candidate must be experienced in financial analysis and statistical data analysis to develop reporting mechanisms that are beneficial in supporting the goals and objectives of the business unit.
  • Understanding of quantitative/qualitative data assessment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and manage time across multiple tasks working individually or as a member of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong ability to self-motivate.
  • Flexible, action-oriented team player with the ability to attend to the detail but also have the aptitude to understand and address the bigger picture.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word,
